Sexy Sunset Couples Treatment at Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa

My husband isn’t as enamored with spa treatments like I am — which is fine: more money to spend on massages for me! But I think even he’d be on board with this new, romantic experience from Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa, especially because it’s exclusive, unusual and takes place outside.

Sunset at the Hyatt Key West's Gulfside dock.

Guests who sign up for “Reflex on the Beach,” are greeted with a glass of champagne at the resort’s secluded Gulfside dock. Only one of these special treatments is offered to one couple at sunset each day, so you’re alone on the dock (just you two, your spa therapists and a fiery setting sun). The reflexology-inspired experience incorporates pressure point treatment of the hands, feet and ears with a neck and shoulder massage and foot soak. The treatment is $199 per couple, inclusive of tax and gratuity.

I had my first reflexology appointment on board a Holland America cruise ship earlier this month, and I love the concept that certain areas of the feet, hands and ears correspond with other zones throughout the body. When a qualified therapist activates the pressure points during reflexology treatment, it helps relieve tension, improve circulation and promote health and well-being in the associated parts of the body.

Other lovely-sounding treatments available at the award-winning Jala Spa at Hyatt Key West include Awaking Aromamassage, with citrus aromatherapy oils, and a clay Sea Restore Wrap. Learn more at the Jala Spa website.
